KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Bronson Healthcare system is hosting career fairs in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek during the last week of July, seeking to fill clinical assistant job openings.
Job seekers are invited to the fairs on Tuesday, July 26 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Gilmore Center for Health Education, located at 7 Healthcare Plaza on the North Campus of Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, as well as Thursday, July 28 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital Outpatient Center Conference Rooms, located at 300 North Ave.
Candidates interested in clinical assistant positions will meet hiring managers, learn about all open positions, and interview one-on-one with a recruiter. Candidates are encouraged to attend in person, though a virtual option is available on both days.
Clinical assistants work on hospital units, helping nursing staff and other clinical team members provide care to patients and families. Some job functions include:
- Participating in patient admission, gathering and tracking patient information, and transferring patients to new units
- Answering call lights and phones to determine patient needs
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, like eating, bathing, etc.
- Supporting the team with basic clerical tasks, including stocking patient rooms, moving equipment, ordering supplies, etc.
A high school degree or GED is required. A CNA or LPN certification is preferred.
Full-time and part-time roles are available with some offering a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.
