Vivian M. Quimby, 94, of Coldwater, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Vivian was born April 4, 1928 in Coldwater, MI to Frank & Rosetta (Byers) Gibson. She married Lloyd L. Quimby on August 26, 1944 at their family farm in Quincy. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2015, after 70 years of marriage.
Mrs. Quimby was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She had also worked at Federal Mogul and Coldwater Service.
Vivian enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, hunting and playing Bingo. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Vivian was most proud of her 1972 Corvette, which she loved to drive.
Vivian is survived by her son Dennis Quimby of Coldwater; her siblings Paul Gibson of Bronson, Jerry (Angela) Gibson of Texas, Bonnie (Rex) Horn of Alma; her grandchildren Michele Nobach, Jason (Teresa) Quimby, Damian (Amy) Quimby, Lloyd “Aaron” (Michelle) Quimby; many great and great, great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and good friend Danny Richmond.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Lloyd M., infant son Danny, infant brother Bobby, siblings Earl, William, Helen, Carol, Dorothy, Lillian, David and Joseph.
