ST. IGNACE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – This year’s Mackinac Bridge Walk brought 26,000 people to the bridge yesterday.
Mackinac Bridge Authority Bridge Director Kim Nowack says it was a perfect day for the walk, and there were slightly more people than in 2021.
Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist led the walk this year.
The Mackinac Bridge Authority says between 20,000 and 30,000 people have taken part in recent years.
