FABIUS TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A two vehicle crash Monday night in St. Joseph County took the life of a 77-year-old man from Lawton.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says the crash happened at 8:13 p.m. on M-60 near Young’s Prairie Road.
He says the man from Lawton was traveling north on Young’s Prairie Road when he ran a stop sign at M-60 and struck a westbound truck driven by a 43-year-old man from Constantine.
The 77-year-old was transported to Bronson Hospital in critical condition by Three Rivers Ambulance. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The 43-year-old was reportedly uninjured.
The names of those involved in the crash were not released by the Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies were assisted by fire department from Three Rivers, Fabius Township and Park Township along with Constantine Police.
