DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Houston Astros completed a three game sweep after beating the Detroit Tigers 2-1 Wednesday afternoon.
Cristian Javier got his record back to .500 after picking up his ninth win of the year. Javier struck out eight over six scoreless innings.
Kyle Tucker went two-for-four with a solo home run to help Houston improved to 93-and-50.
Joey Wentz suffered his second loss of the season after allowing two runs over four innings pitched. Javier Baez went deep for his 13th long ball of the year.
Detroit is now 54-and-89, and will host the Chicago White Sox tomorrow night to begin a weekend series.
