DEARBORN MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Ford Motor Company has applied for a patent on a device that could make camping and tailgating easier when it comes to having a power source.
The device would be placed in vehicle roof rails, protected from the elements by removable covers, and would be connected to a power source in the vehicle.
A spokesperson for the carmaker stated that the outlet could be used in many different ways, including powering devices such as smartphones, lights, portable heaters, and laptops.
