CHICAGO, IL (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers scored three runs in the top of the eighth to take down the White Sox 4-1 in Chicago Sunday afternoon.
Jonathan Schoop and Jeimer Candelario each drove in a run during the inning.
Andrew Chafin picked up his second win in relief, while Gregory Soto earned his 28th save. Detroit has won five of six.
Yoan Moncada homered for Chicago, and Kendall Graveman was charged with his fourth loss out of the bullpen.
With the loss, the White Sox have been eliminated from the AL Central race.
The Tigers have Monday off and will open a series at Kansas City Tuesday night.
