DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Harold Castro hit a walk-off single to lead the Detroit Tigers past the Kansas City Royals in a 4-3 ten-inning victory at Comerica Park.
Castro also hit a two-run, game-tying single in the bottom of the eighth to send the game to extra innings.
Alex Lange earned his sixth win in relief. Detroit is on a four-game winning streak. Hunter Dozier hit his 12th home run in the losing effort, and Anthony Misiewicz was charged with his second loss out of the bullpen.
Kansas City has dropped two of three.
Detroit is 61-and-92 and will host the Royals again tonight, with the opening pitch at 6:40 p.m.
