COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School seventh grade volleyball teams split their matches with Hastings on Tuesday night.
The A team defeated Hastings 25-12 25-17 9-15 to improve their record to 8-2-1 on the year. For the night Coldwater was lead at the service line by Kelsey Price who was 12-13 with 7 aces. Adyson Qualls was 10-12 with 4 aces, Audi Bucklin was 9-10 with 4 aces, Maddie Mccullough was 4-5 2 aces, Lily Scheidler was 2-3 1 ace, Alana Houtz was 2-4 and Alyise Dally 2-4. In the backrow, Caydee Marske had 5 digs to lead the team followed by Alexa Carreon with 3 digs, Harper Morrill and Elizabeth Vogler had 2 digs each. Adyson Qualls had 6 kills and Audi Bucklin had 3 kills to pace Coldwater.
The B team won the first game 25-13 but dropped the last two games 21-25 and 9-15. Leading in serving was Katherine Smith going 11/11, 3 aces, 1 dig, Gemma McVicker 9/12, 7 aces, 4 digs, Brooklyn Nelson 6/7, 2 aces, 1 dig, Amberlynn Gaglio 6/6, 1 ace, 2 digs.
There were no reports on the eighth grade matches.
