COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School eighth grade girls volleyball B team as well as both seventh grade teams won their matches against Jackson Northwest on Tuesday night.
The eighth grade B won 9-25, 25-17, 15-13. Leading the team in serves was Khole Wohlgamuth as she went 11 for 12. Kristain Thornton served 9 for 9. And Aubrey Walkup was 4 for 4.
The seventh grade A team defeated Jackson Northwest 25-10 25-18 7-15 to improve there record to 12-3-1.
Legg was led at the service line by Alana Houtz 15-16 with 6 aces followed by Audi Bucklin 11-12 with 9 aces, Alyise Dally 7-8 4 aces, Adyson Qualls 6-7 with 4 aces, Kelsey Price 2-2 1 ace, Lily Scheidler 2-3 1 ace, Elizabeth Vogler 1-2, Caydee Marske 1-1, Maddie McCullough 1-2.
Bucklin paced Coldwater in the back row with 4 digs followed by Marske, Piece and Dally all with 3 digs, Harper Morrill and Alexa Carreon, Vogler and McCullough 2 digs each. Qualls had 7 kills followed by Bucklin with 3 and Dally 2 and Carreon and Price 1 each.
The seventh grade B team won 25-20, 26-21, 9-15. Leading Legg in serving was Gemma 13/13, 2 aces, Claire Stroup 8/8, 2 aces, Breanna Smith 8/11, 5 aces, 2 digs, Katherine Smith 4/4, 2 aces, Brooklyn Nelson 4/5, Abigail Paul 3/3, 2 aces, 1 dig, Lily Reinhackel 4/4, 1 ace, and 1 dig.
