DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Pistons have parted ways with guard Kemba Walker and will pay out his entire $9.2 million salary.
Walker had initially agreed to a buyout with the Pistons after coming over in a trade from the Knicks. Waiving him will force the team to pay his full salary.
Detroit opens the regular season tomorrow night hosting the Orlando Magic. The Pistons will then begin a three-game road trip Friday in New York.
