CONSTANTINE, MI (WTVB) – After dropping the first game to the Centreville Bulldogs, the Bronson Vikings roared back to win the next three games on Thursday night as they captured the M.H.S.A.A. Division Three girls volleyball district championship at Constantine.
Bronson lost the first game 18-25 before taking the next three 25-18, 25-23, 25-21.
Both teams received honorable mentions in the final Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association Division Three rankings.
Coach Jean LeClair said, “As a team we only served 83%, and only hit 19%, but still dug in to pull out the win. It certainly wasn’t our best outing, but we kept fighting and kept our heads in the game. I am very proud of every one of our players tonight! Brealy (Lasky) did a great job getting the ball to her hitters tonight, from all over the court.
