Mary Elizabeth Penner, 80, of Montgomery, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
Funeral services for Mary Penner will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Don Lee officiating. Burial will follow at California Corners Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born February 26, 1942, in Hillsdale to Herman and Elizabeth (Balogh) Newbauer. She married Clinton “Ed” Penner on April 29, 1967, and he survives.
Mary graduated from Reading High School and was employed at Quincy Products and various other places throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed cheering for the Notre Dame football and cooking for family get togethers.
Mary loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children, and she cherished any time spent with them. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, and aunt whose greatest joy was caring for her family.
Surviving besides her husband, Ed are her siblings, Jerry (Connie) Newbauer, Roger (Patricia) Newbauer, Patricia (Ron) Hartman, Mike (Johneen) Newbauer, Kathleen (Gary) Miller and Charlie (Cheryl) Newbauer; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” Penner; niece, Rhonda Newbauer; and nephew, Jeffrey Newbauer.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility or the United Cerebral Palsy Association.
