BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Jose Albarran will stay on the Bronson Community Schools Board of Education.
He was one of two write-in candidates who were trying to win a partial term seat on the Bronson School Board in the November 8 general election.
Albarran defeated Chad Everett 187-54. The Branch County Board of Canvassers certified the election results last week after four days of meetings.
Albarran’s current term expires at the end of the year. His new term on the board will expire on December 31, 2026.
Albarran was appointed to fill a vacant seat on the board in February of 2021.
Janet Byler and Jordon Houtz were elected to six year terms on the school board in this month’s general election.
They were the two top finishers in a field of six candidates.
