GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – One of the men who conspired to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is being sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Adam Fox was convicted in August in a 2020 plot to abduct the Democratic governor over her COVID-19 restrictions.
A judge opted against the prosecution’s bid to put Fox behind bars for life. U.S. District Judge Robert Jonker said a life sentence wasn’t needed to get the point across and he questioned if Fox was the “natural leader” of the plot.
