COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Wednesday turned out to be a busy for the Coldwater Fire Department as they had to respond to a pair of fires.
A structure fire was reported in the 500 block of East Chicago Street at about 10:30 p.m.. Crews arrived to find a vacant building fully involved.
Crews were hampered by trees across the access drive and were forced to deploy long hose lays. The fire was brought under control quickly.
The Coldwater Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Quincy Fire Department, Coldwater Police and LifeCare Ambulance. All units cleared the scene at 1:52 a.m. Thursday morning.
During this call Quincy Fire received a report of a structure fire in the 1100 block of Besemer Road at 11:41 p.m.
Coldwater firefighters also responded to a report of a industrial fire in the 100 block of West Garfield just before 12 noon Wednesday where they found a fire in a metal dust collection system.
Quincy firefighters, Coldwater Police and LifeCare Ambulance assisted. All units cleared the scene at 1:15 p.m.
