KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch Authority is reporting that the statewide 911 network issues have been resolved as of 5:01 p.m. A cause of what led to the disruption was not immediately disclosed.

Both the Calhoun County and Kalamazoo Consolidated Dispatch Authorities are reporting that all 911 phone lines are down statewide at this time.
Dispatch Director Michael Armitage with Calhoun County Dispatch Authority says both staff and crews are working with service providers and technicians to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
Those experiencing an emergency should TEXT 911.
Those in Calhoun County and surrounding counties can call 1-517-293-3911.
Those in Kalamazoo County can call 1-269-488-8911 and press option 1 for dispatch.
UPDATE from the Lakeshore: While there was no official word from Allegan County during this outage, Ottawa County Central Dispatch reported that, “At this time we are receiving 911 calls … during the period that we were not able to receive calls, our staff was able to utilize additional technology to see the phone numbers attempting to call 911 and we were able to call them back.”
