EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Tyson Walker missed a long three-pointer at the buzzer as the Michigan State University men’s basketball team fell short against third-ranked Purdue 64-63 in East Lansing Monday.
Walker dropped in 30 points to pace the Spartans, who fell to 12-and-6 on the season and 4-and-3 in the Big Ten.
Purdue’s Zach Edey scored a career-high 32 points and got the winning bucket with two-point-two seconds left. MSU hosts Rutgers on Thursday.
In other college hoops action tonight, Eastern Michigan University hosts Kent State, Central Michigan University entertains Akron, and Western Michigan University visits Ball State.
The University of Michigan is back in action Thursday at Maryland.
