ALLENDALE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Grand Valley State University is promoting Scott Wooster to head football coach following the resignation of Matt Mitchell.
Wooster coached eleven year at Wayne State University in Detroit and was an assistant at GVSU under Mitchell.
He is the eighth coach in program history and the fourth consecutive to be hired from within the current staff following Brian Kelly, Chuck Martin, and Mitchell, who posted a combined 309-72-2 record since Kelly was promoted in 1991.
