Katie Grevious of the Better Business Bureau of West Michigan says that scammers target Valentine’s Day with several different methods to get your personal information and money, and being aware and alert can help prevent heartbreak.
Scams like imposter websites, wrong number calls, and romance seekers, are very real and will result in losing sums of money and theft of personal information.
If it sounds too good to be true, Grevious emphasizes, it most likely is…and anyone who is contacted about any of these scams, should contact the BBB at www.BBB.org/ScamTracker.
