QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy High School will induct three new members to its Athletic Hall of Fame on Thursday night during half time of the Boys Varsity Basketball game against Concord.
The ceremony was originally scheduled for last Friday, but the game was postponed until Thursday due to a lack of power at the high school.
Going into the Hall will be Tyler Bassage, Stephanie Wohlgamuth and the 1999 undefeated Quincy Oriole football team.
Bassage graduated in 2003. He was a State Champion in the 330 hurdles and was a three-sport standout.
Wohlgamuth is from the class of 1995 and was another multi-talented three-sport star at Quincy.
This will be the ninetieth year for the Hall of Fame, which has over 75 members who have distinguished themselves through their athletic accomplishments.
The selection committee considers the overall contribution to the athletic program of each nominee. Individual statistics may be a major factor; however, the impact that a player has on the success of teams is a greater factor in the selection of an individual athlete.
Community members, coaches, and administrators are also found in the Hall of Fame.
