UNDATED (WTVB) – The Interstate 8 Conference co-champions and the Big 8 Conference winners were knocked out of the M.H.S.A.A. boys basketball tournament in regional semifinals on Monday night.
Marshall was beaten at the buzzer by Hamilton 63-62 in the Division Two regional at Vicksburg. The Battle Creek Enquirer reports it was a controversial finish.
Hamilton’s Austin Osborne tipped in the winning bucket as time ran out but there was some question if the ball was still on the rim. Offensive goaltending was not called by the officials and the Redhawks’ season came to an end.
Meanwhile, Jonesville played their final boys basketball game as a member of the Big 8 Conference as they lost to Laingsburg 61-54 in the Division Three regional semifinals at Hanover-Horton.
