LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan’s 1931 law banning nearly all abortions will be repealed this morning when Governor Gretchen Whitmer signs the legislation that wipes it off the books.
The law had been made ineffective with the November 2022 election where Proposal 3 passed.
That proposal was a constitutional amendment that enshrined abortion rights into the state’s constitution after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
