THREE RIVERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 51-year-old Three Rivers man has been arrested for allegedly telephoning in a threat that led to the closure of the Three Rivers Community Schools Monday.
Michigan State Police arrested the man Monday for allegedly threatening to shoot up Three Rivers Middle School. State police say he called WWMT-TV, Kalamazoo Friday to make the threat.
Police identified the man and executed a search warrant at the man’s home in Three Rivers. No weapons were found during the search, but the man was arrested on a charge of making terrorist threats and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
His name is being withheld pending his arraignment.
