HOMER, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Girls Softball team remained unbeaten in the Big 8 Conference with a doubleheader sweep of Homer on Wednesday winning by scores of 11-4 and 10-3.
The Harris sisters dominated the circle as they recorded 26 strike outs in the twin bill for the Vikings.
First game winning pitcher Addison Harris tossed a five-hitter and struck out 10 Trojans. She helped her own cause with three hits including two doubles.
Haylie Wilson and Kaylee Wilber both had two hits.
Ashlynn Harris struck out 16 batters as she earned the win in the second game. She also tripled.
Wilson and Lydia Wells both drove in two runs as eight Vikings collected at least one hit.
Coach Becky Gray said, “We hit the ball well tonight and the pitchers as well as the defense did their job as well. Homer was out to beat us tonight and the girls stepped up and found a way to get 2 big wins.”
The Vikings are now 10-7 overall and 8-0 in the Big 8 Conference.
