QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Three Rivers Wildcats scored a pair of second half goals to defeat the Quincy Orioles 3-1 on Friday night in a girls soccer match on the Orioles home pitch.
Three Rivers got on the board early at the three minute mark to go up 1-0.
Quincy’s Kallie Glei equalized the match about 20 minutes later as the first half ended in a 1-1 tie.
Quincy kept the offensive pressure on in the second half but the Three Rivers goal keeper kept the Orioles off the board.
It wasn’t until there were 12 minutes left in the game when Three Rivers went up 2-1 off a shot that hit the goal post before the Wildcats knocked it in.
Three Rivers would add a late goal with about four minutes left.
Quincy out shot Three Rivers 23-13.
Danica Swift was in goal and had 10 saves on the night. The Orioles will travel to Columbia Central on Monday night.
