CAMDEN, MI (WTVB) – A power outage in southwestern Hillsdale County on Thursday morning forced Camden-Frontier Community Schools to send students home early.
Students were being dismissed at 10:15 a.m..
It was also stated on the district’s Facebook page that they could not receive phone calls.
The Consumer’s Energy outage page reported a total of 784 customers in the Montgomery and Camden areas were affected by the power outage which was first reported at 8:40 a.m..
The initial reports indicated that trees were the cause of the outages.
Crews from Consumer’s Energy are working to restore power. The utility anticipates the electricity will be restored sometime early Thursday afternoon.
