FABIUS TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A 39-year-old woman was killed late Friday night when her by bicycle was struck by a van in St. Joseph County.
St. Joseph County Undersheriff Jason Bingaman reports the crash happened at about 11:00 p.m. in the area of U.S. 131 and Millard Road.
The van involved was driven by a 66-year-old White Pigeon man. Both he and his female passenger were uninjured in the crash.
The bicyclist was pronounced deceased on scene. Names are not being released at this time as family members are still being notified.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Three Rivers Police Department, Michigan State Police, Fabius-Park Fire Department, Three Rivers Fire and Ambulance, as well as Brokers Towing.
