Fabienne Joy Aranda, 68, of Coldwater peacefully passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
A memorial service to celebrate Fabienne’s life will take place on Friday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Mike Fronczak at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Family and friends are welcome to join for a time of remembrance before the service, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on the same day at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Born on May 26, 1955, Fabienne was the cherished child of Alexander and Lois (Hineman) MacRae in Reed City, MI. She embarked on a journey of love and commitment, first marrying Yasu Oda in Japan, and later finding happiness with Jaime Aranda, whom she married on November 11, 2011, in Jamestown, IN.
Mrs. Aranda dedicated 14 years of her life to Japan, where she taught English and embraced the local culture. A devout Christian, Fabienne’s unwavering faith manifested in her regular attendance at church services. She held a special place for Saturdays at AGAPE Center Ministries with Pastor Mike Fronczak, Sundays at AGAPE Center Ministries with Pastor Josh Englehart, and worship at Jamestown Church with Pastor Paul Metzger.
In addition to her faith, she found joy in participating in women’s Bible studies, tending to her garden, and exploring her culinary skills. Her passion for cooking, especially Japanese cuisine, and baking zucchini bread brought delight to those around her.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Jaime Aranda; her children, Jason (Nichole) Oda, Michelle (Chuck) Morgan, and Reika (Arthur) Kadlec; stepchildren, James Aranda and Heather Smyth; siblings, Craig (Constance) MacRae, Pamela (David) Staff, and Lola (David) Snell; and her adored grandchildren, Beck, Keagan, Ella, Maya, Llewyn, and Hazel.
