COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has announced that applications for the Housing Preservation Grant Program have been extended.
The program is being offered in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development.
It can provide up to $7,499 towards eligible interior and exterior home rehabilitation projects. Applicants must be low and very-low-income residents of owner-occupied single-family homes. A minimum of a 50 percent match is required by the homeowner.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all funds are awarded. The City of Coldwater was awarded $115,000 from the USDA to administer the program which can fund at least 15 projects.
Eligible projects that meet the income eligibility requirements as listed on the application will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis until funds have been earmarked.
