BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Bronson defeated Branch County rival Quincy while Union City defeated Springport in Big 8 Conference girls volleyball matches on Tuesday night.
The Vikings won at Quincy three games to nothing by scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-13. Coach Jean LaClair said, “We had twice as many serving errors than we had aces and we struggled defensively to pick up the easy shots. We did well against their hard hits, but struggled to move and keep our feet defensively.”

Meanwhile, Union City scored a three games to one victory over Springport at McNett Fieldhouse by scores of 25-21, 22-25, 29-27, 25-16.
Coach Ashley Herman said, “We started out the evening playing a little flat but found our groove in set 3 and were able to come away with a 4 set win.”
