TAIPEI (Reuters) – A Chinese carrier group led by the Shandong crossed the Bashi Channel and entered the Pacific Ocean on Thursday, Taiwan’s defence ministry said, referring to a waterway that separates the island from the Philippines.
Taiwanese forces have been dispatched to keep watch, the ministry added.
