BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater and Harper Creek battled each other on the volleyball court for the third time this season on Friday night. The stakes were higher, though, as they were playing for an MHSAA Division 1 District Championship. And just like their encounters in the regular season and at the Interstate 8 Tournament, the Beavers prevailed over the Cardinals, with Harper Creek winning 25-18, 25-13, 15-25, 25-18.
Junior middle hitter Cassidy Pratley was unstoppable for the Beavers, as she finished with a match-high 19 kills, while freshman middle hitter Camille Robinson added 15 kills of her own. Cardinal outside hitter Kenzie Scheid ended her high school career with a bang, finishing with a team-high 17 kills and 13 digs to go with 3 blocks. Other stat leaders for Coldwater:

- Elli Foley: 3 kills, 10 digs, 30 assists, 3 blocks

- Maren DeBeau: 1 kill, 6 digs, 4 assists
Coldwater ends its season with a record of 30-16-3. Harper Creek improves to 37-10-6 and will face Portage Northern next Tuesday in a Division 1 Regional Semifinal at Grand Ledge. The Huskies won the Gull Lake District by beating the host school 25-22, 25-17, 25-16.
