DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – AAA Michigan says they expect millions of Michigan residents to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The group says 1.7 million residents are expected to make a trip of 50 miles or more from home. The estimate represents a nearly three-percent jump in travel compared to last year and is the third highest estimate since the agency began tracking in 2000.
They say gasoline costs are playing a factor as prices are averaging 58-cents less per gallon compared to last year.
