CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Numerous stolen vehicle reports in the Village of Homer and in Pennfield Township within two days are being investigated by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded on Thursday and Friday to three separate stolen vehicle complaints in Homer where two Kia Souls were taken. One has been recovered. An additional Honda CRV was also stolen.
Deputies have also responded to numerous other stolen vehicle complaints and attempted stolen vehicle complaints throughout Calhoun County.
They say over a dozen stolen vehicle complaints have been received during the past year in Pennfield Township. These thefts commonly involve Kia and Honda manufactured vehicles.
The vehicles are often discovered to be unlocked and easily accessible to offenders. Police remind residents to keep their vehicles locked and valuables out of the vehicle or not in plain view.
