COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Local chiropractor Doctor John Towers announced on Thursday he is seeking the Republican nomination for Branch County Commissioner in District 2.
The district includes Girard Township, Coldwater Township, and Ward 2 in City of Coldwater.
The seat is currently occupied by Jon Houtz. Dr. Towers is a Chiropractor at Coldwater Chiropractic and Wellness Center. He has been in practice for 18 years.
He and his family moved to Branch County from Washington State 2021.
Dr. Towers said in a statement announcing his intention to run for County Commissioner that he is involved in several service groups, such as Kiwanis Club of Coldwater and Sunrise Rotary.
He is on the board of directors for AYSO of Branch County, and recently restarted Cub Scouts Pack 433 in Coldwater.
He stated, “The County Commissioner position is only a seat; we are all in this together.”
