Herbert A. Woods, 93, of Quincy, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at his home.
At his request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
Herbert was born January 20, 1929. He married Margie Morgan, and she survives.
Before moving to Quincy, Herb was a longtime contactor in the Detroit area. He was also the founder and owner of Westland Camping Center in Westland, Michigan, which is still in operation today. Herb proudly served his country in the US Air Force.
Surviving besides his wife, Margie, are brother-in-law, Donald Morgan; two nieces, Vicki and Lori Morgan; great nieces and nephews, Renee (Aaron) Hamilton, Kevin (Hannah) Tanner, Mandy (Jim) Gamboe and Sara Cooke; six great-great nieces and nephews, with one more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Joyce Morgan; niece, Terri Cooke; and 12 siblings.
