BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The month of January in southwest Michigan has been dominated by clouds and gloomy weather.
As of Wednesday, the sun has not been seen in Branch County for 10 straight days.
The last time there was any sunshine around here was on January 21.
WOOD-TV’s Bill Steffen wrote in his blog on Monday that Grand Rapids had six days in a row with no sunshine and that the month of January has produced sunshine just over nine percent of the time.
He added that over the last six weeks, there has just been eight percent of possible sunshine.
But that bright thing in the sky is ready to make a return appearance later this week.
Clouds are expected to break up on Friday and forecasters are calling for lots of sunshine over the weekend with temperatures in the 40s.
