Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born June 17, 1927, in Hillsdale, the daughter of Leroy and Freda (Van Dusen) Tittle. She married Warren Rutz on January 4, 1951, and he preceded her in death in 2005.
Norma graduated from Reading High School. She married Warren and truly embraced her duties as the wife of a farmer and a homemaker. She could often be found helping in the fields and with the milk cows, as well as preparing and delivering meals to the fields during the busy harvest.
Norma enjoyed gardening, crafting, baking, and hosting/attending card parties with close friends. She had a talent for music and played the organ, piano, accordion and Hawaiian guitar. In her prime, she and Warren enjoyed dancing as a couple, traveling, and camping with family.
Norma’s greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play many sports and perform in theatrical productions.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Aemisegger of Hillsdale; grandchildren, Crystal Page and Matthew Avra; and great-grandchildren, Maya and Karly Page and Alivia Avra.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Warren; daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Ricketts; sisters, Loretta Dutcher and Valeria Smith; brothers, Lyal and Robert Tittle; and long-time companion, Norman Green.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility or the American Heart Association.
