Richard A. “Dick” Kintigh, 81, of Coldwater, MI passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at ProMedica Regional Hospital in Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday February 19, 2024, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Bob Ward Officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater, MI.
Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until time of service that morning at the funeral home.
Dick was born April 18, 1942, to Arthur and Jeanette (Noblit) Kintigh in Coldwater, MI. He honorably served his country in the United States Army, with the 1960-1963 82nd Airborne. Upon completing his time with the US Army, Dick returned home and worked for Michigan Gas Utilities for over 30 years before retiring.
His sense of duty was not only limited to his country, but also his community where he was an active member of the Elks of Coldwater, The Moose Lodge of Coldwater, The Eagles of Coldwater, the American Legion of Coldwater, The American Veteran Association, and the VFW.
Dick held a passion for classic cars, racing, and liked to travel as often as he could.
Dick is survived by his grandchildren Jamie (Jeremy) Grenke of Coldwater, his great grandchildren Dylan Bradley and Drake Bradley, and his many cherished friends.
He was preceded by his parents Arthur and Jeanette Kintigh, and his sister Mary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
