JONESVILLE, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles finished third at the M.H.S.A.A. Competitive Cheer Districts hosted by Jonesville on Friday which advanced them to next week’s regional tournament at Michigan Center.
The Orioles finished with 700.12 points to edge the host Comets by about eight points for third place.
Quincy trailed Jonesville by over six-points after the first round but they outscored the Comets by almost 14 points in the second and third rounds to secure their trip to the M.H.S.A.A. regional tournament.
Michigan Center was first with 732.2 points followed by Hanover-Horton with 718.26.
Quincy’s third place finish at the district tournament follows the Orioles winning the Big 8 Conference championship.
