BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A fourth quarter rally for the Bronson Vikings fell short as they lost a non-conference home game to the Sturgis Trojans 46-41 on Monday night.
Sturgis led throughout the contest. They were ahead 21-16 at halftime and 39-23 after three quarters.
Bronson managed to cut the lead to 44-41 in the final minute but could get no closer as Sturgis hit a couple of foul shots in crunch time.
Grady Miller scored a game-high 25 points for Sturgis while Kameron Brackett led Bronson with 23 points. The loss dropped Bronson’s record to 13-8.

Grant Carter scored 21 points while Brandon Miner recorded a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds as the Quincy Orioles won at Morenci 59-40.
Ryan Kempter added eight points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.
The Orioles improved to 9-12.

Union City edged former Big 8 Conference member Homer 55-53 at McNett Fieldhouse as the Chargers improved to 13-8.
Union City has won four straight and five of their last six.
