Patricia “Pat” Kne, 88, of Colon, formerly of Union City, passed away at home Friday, February 9, 2024 under the care of hospice and surrounded by her loving family.
In keeping with Pat’s wishes, she will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation Service of Union City.
Patricia was born on March 25, 1935, in Union City, Michigan, to Robert and Eunice (Stafford) Mergl. She attended high school in Union City in 1953 and then continued her education at Michigan State College (now known as MSU), completing her associate degree in 1955.
She worked for North Central Airlines as a stewardess, where she met her husband, Robert Kne. They were married in 1959, and had two children, Karen and Kenneth. Pat also worked for Avis and Hertz Rent-A-Car companies, as well as AAA Travel.
She is survived by her son Kenneth Kne, her grandchildren; Robert Kne, Andrew Kne, Amanda Kne, Joshua Kne, Erika (Cross) Karn, Jenna Cross and her great-grandchildren; Luis Sanchez-Cross, Iszabela Reyes, Zoey Cross, Kyle Cross, and Arianna Cross, and Ariyanna Comiskey.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2015 and her daughter, Karen Cross, in 2022.
