BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Playing their third game in four days did not bother the Quincy Orioles as they defeated Branch County rival Union City 42-36 on Tuesday night in a Big 8 Conference game.
The Orioles played with six varsity players and had to bring up J.V. players.
Quincy’s Alyssa McCavit had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Ellie Williams led Union City with 10 points.
Quincy is now 8-13 overall and 5-6 in the Big 8. The Chargers drop to 4-17 overall and 2-9 in the conference.
Bronson won a non-conference game at home as they defeated Athens 66-23. The Vikings are now 15-6.
Also in girls basketball on Tuesday night, Burr Oak defeated Tekonsha 52-19.
