COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Branch County man with a lengthy criminal history that goes back to 1999 was sent back to prison on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after he entered a guilty plea to a felony drug charge.
41-year-old Michael Mosher was ordered to serve three to ten years in the Michigan Department of Corrections after he entered a guilty plea to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy).
In exchange for his plea, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon as well as charges of possession of ammunition by a felon and maintaining a drug house were dismissed by prosecutors.
Mosher was discharged from the Michigan Department of Corrections in March of 2023 after serving over four years for possession of meth and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
He was arrested by the Branch County Sheriff’s Department on October 23, 2023.
Mosher was given credit for 108 days served in jail.
