COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Bronson man was formally charged during an arraignment on Friday in Branch County District Court with using a computer to possess and share child sexually abusive material.
33-year-old Cameron Scott Martinez was charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material as well as a count of using a computer to commit a crime.
The charges were filed after a Michigan State Police investigation which started when Troopers got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
According to Branch County court records, Troopers used this information as they conducted a Google search warrant for the subscriber information associated with the suspect accounts.
It was stated in court documents that the Google search results revealed several alleged photos and videos of child sexually abusive material.
Bond during the arraignment was set at $10,000. Martinez was ordered not to use a computer connected to the internet if he should post bond.
A probable cause hearing was set for March 26 with a preliminary exam scheduled for April 2.
