THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – A pedestrian was struck by two vehicles Wednesday morning on the southbound side of U.S. 131 near Wilbur Road in St. Joseph County.
St. Joseph County Undersheriff Jason Bingaman says a 39-year-old man was struck by the vehicles at about 5:38 a.m..
Three Rivers and Fabius Fire Departments provided medical attention to the injured man. He was conscious and alert as he was taken to a Kalamazoo Hospital for further medical treatment.
The drivers of the vehicles did not sustain any injuries. One driver told deputies the pedestrian jumped in front of his vehicle.
This crash is still under investigation by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
Assisting at the scene were the Three Rivers Police Department along with the Three Rivers and Fabius Township Fire Departments.
