(Reuters) -Chipmaker Intel said on Monday it has appointed industry veteran Kevin O’Buckley to lead its manufacturing unit.
O’Buckley, who will succeed Stuart Pann and report to CEO Pat Gelsinger, has been appointed as senior vice president and general manager of Foundry Services, the company said.
Pann will retire from Intel after 35 years at the end of May.
O’Buckley joins Intel with more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. He has also held leadership positions at firms such as GlobalFoundries and International Business Machines.
