BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings wrapped up a third straight Big 8 Conference championship on Tuesday as they split a doubleheader against Springport.
The Vikings dropped the opener 11-7 in eight innings but bounced back to win the nightcap 6-0.
Kailynne Scare drove in two runs in the first game while Delanee Carpenter had two hits.
Second game winning pitcher Mya Webb tossed a three hitter and helped her own cause by driving in two runs.
Bronson Coach Becky Gray said, “We really struggled the first game in all aspects. I was really proud of the way we came back and found a way to win. It’s nice to get a league title.”
The Vikings are now 17-9 overall and 11-1 in the Big 8 Conference.
