Wes Unseld Jr. is joining the Chicago Bulls coaching staff, ESPN reported Saturday.
The former head coach of the Washington Wizards, Unseld will serve as the top assistant to head coach Billy Donovan, per the report.
In January, the Wizards moved Unseld, 48, into a front office advisory position after two-and-a-half seasons as head coach in Washington.
Unseld became coach of the Wizards in July 2021, and the team posted a 77-130 record during his tenure. He previously was an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic and Denver Nuggets, as well as the Wizards.
The Bulls finished the 2023-24 season with a 39-43 mark and out of the playoffs. Donovan has a 156-162 record in four seasons in Chicago.
